What a time it's been. The last few weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind for the Tecla team so we thought we'd recap all the many great experiences that happened in such a short time.

First, you might have noticed that GetTecla.com received a bit of a facelift recently. With the recent design changes made, our aim is to make the website a smoother experience for both people new to Tecla, as well as our existing users looking for support and help with their questions.

Now, onto the Parapan Am Games! For the first weekend, we found ourselves at MaRS Discovery District for the Accessibility Innovation Showcase. Tecla was featured to investors, fellow innovators and the public. It was great to demonstrate the Tecla Shield to Hon. Brad Duguid, Minister of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure. Pachi, the official mascot of the Toronto Pan Am and Parapan Am Games, also joined in. They were able to play Flappy Birds with a foot-activated switch –– sounds a lot easier than it is!

Along with meeting with members of government and the public, Tecla's CEO Mauricio Meza was also selected to pitch during a competition:

Sending a big congrats to LegWorks who took home the prize!

After a big week, the Tecla team capped off the Parapan Am Games by catching the Women's Wheelchair Basketball gold medal game.
