Wheelchair Driving Controls & tecla-e
In order to use the wheelchair driving controls to control your devices, you need to have compatible wireless driving controls or the chair needs to be equipped with an Environmental Control Unit (ECU) or Input/Output Module (IOM), this is an add-on for wheelchairs that allows them to control external devices.
From the ECU or IOM you can connect directly to the tecla-e wheelchair port using a DB9 Male to Female cable (serial).
Wireless Wheelchair Control: The new ATOM wheelchair driving controls from Adaptive Switches Laboratories (ASL) wirelessly connect to tecla-e, so there is no need to connect tecla-e to the wheelchair electronics.
